World Giraffe Day
Celebrating the tallest animal on the longest day of the year!
Each year on June 21, the longest day of the year, zoos, conservation organizations, and giraffe enthusiasts around the world come together to celebrate World Giraffe Day. This initiative was founded in 2014 by the Giraffe Conservation Foundation to raise awareness for giraffe conservation.
If your facility doesn’t yet host a World Giraffe Day event, this is the perfect year to start. Whether your zoo is home to a large giraffe herd or you collaborate with giraffe conservation, World Giraffe Day can be tailored to your setting, resources, and audience.
