A Veterinary Technician's Dynamic Role in Voluntary Procedures

A common struggle in facilities is navigating the disconnect between a trainer's role and a veteriarian's or veterinary technician's role, especially in uncomfortable procedures. Our interdepartmental teams have worked in various ways to better improve our communication, but also teach each other skills so we can improve our relationships, both with each other and with the animals in our care. When we work together, we accomplish more, especially in regards to procedures like blood draws.
