Non-guest feeding options

Our public feedings are over for the year (summer only), though we have "Wild Connections" feeding tours three times a week still.

We usually feed pellet in the PM, before we leave for the day.  We hang browse during the day and/or overnight, depending on how much we have available.

During the summer, when we have public feedings, we don't hang browse on exhibit because it distracts the giraffes from the public feeding.  I'm not crazy about that, but since our herd is small, distracting them all from the feeding is a real problem.

We were experimenting at the end of the summer with feeding our bull half his pellet in the morning, as he would get "hangry" during the morning public feedings and be disruptive.  Getting some pellet in the AM seemed to take the edge off and helped with his behavior.

How often are you providing browse/grain feeding opportunities away from guests? Are guests are able to feed at the same time or are these opportunities only available during non-guest feeding times?
